What should I watch Calories or Fat?
It’s an age old question and one that tends to cause a lot of confusion. So I think it’s about time to out this question to bed. Look at the differences and the effect of both.
Good old Weight watchers are amongst the countless advocates of the “calorie controlled diet” we all know the word calories, most of us sort of understand what they are right? more calories the worse something is? Are we sure we completely understand what a calorie is? As far as a lot of people are concerned a calorie may as well be the name of a tiny little gremlin that tries to snuggle itself into our lower abdomen until it is forced out in our sweat.
When i discuss health I am focusing on lifestyle related health. I am not touching upon some of the other environmental factors and also carcinogens which again can probably be linked back to our choices of diet, lifestyle and environment.
Had a few requests from people of late asking what I eat in a typical week. So I decided to keep a food diary this week just gone and publish it here. I wanted to do a very typical week, not a week that i was particularly working towards something like a shoot or sometimes if i am trying to bulk or lean slightly my diet would vary and be stricter and more regimented. Just a week that if you took a cross section of my year would be quite similar. My diet is built around my goals to feel energised throughout the day, sleep well, feel healthy and full of vitality, attain and maintain a sub 10% body fat and add muscle. Again probably good to point out that i’m not subscribing this as the perfect diet, just the one I had last week!

So what is the truth about protein shakes? Over the last years, the higher the awareness becomes of health, fitness etc the growth of the Protein shake has continued to happen.
