I would say that on any given day, around 30% of my Facebook newsfeed is filled with finger pointing, judgement and anger around religion. Blaming one religion for terrible deeds. People using a religion for reasons to condemn the actions or lifestyles of others. Atheist proclaiming religion, or the religious cause war and suffering.
Are they right?
Defined by Wikipedia, referenced from the Oxford Dictionary –
Empathy is the capacity to understand what another person is experiencing from within the other person’s frame of reference, i.e, the capacity to place oneself in another’s shoes.
It leaves men clutching for their crown jewels when they see another take a sharp knee to the gonads. It leaves women 50 shades more flustered, and raises lumps in sunday throats when someone knocks a Whitney Houston classic out of the park on X factor. But why?
As a powerless individual in a world of domineering corporations backed with trumped up legislations, I have to resign myself to the fact that I am at the constant mercy of the corporate will. There was a time I can recall where you could roll up your sleeves and fight back. But now it seems not even the strongest and seemingly just attempts at resistance will save you from the surreptitious sodomy of our friendly logo laden, ever helpful “service providers.”
If you would indulge me further, I will explain why I now write this article sat on a specially developed cushion. This time I am going to raise my head above the trenches and speak out to what I feel is not just injustice, but a scam.
